HubSpot Property View on Mobile vs Computer differ

Overview of what could cause differences between HubSpot’s mobile and desktop contact property views

1. Understand How Contact Properties Are Displayed

HubSpot’s mobile app and desktop interface can be configured to show different sets of properties in the left hand side section. On mobile, HubSpot often defaults to a simplified set of fields. Let's use "Job Title" property as an example with "XX" as one of the choices/selection under that property. On desktop, if “Job Title” property is not added to your default About section (or to a specific grouping), it may appear hidden unless you expand all properties or customize which fields display.

2. Verify the Contact's Property Value

To confirm that “XX” is the current value for a contact’s  property:

  1. Open the contact record in your HubSpot desktop portal.

  2. Click View all properties (usually near the “About” section on the left or right sidebar, depending on your layout).

  3. Search for the property and check its current value and property history. This ensures “XX” is indeed saved in the back end.

3. Customize Your Desktop "About" Section

If “XX” is present in the property history, but not visible in the default desktop view, you can add it:

  1. In your HubSpot desktop portal, open the contact record.

  2. Click View all properties, then select Edit this section or Customize the about section (the phrasing may vary).

  3. Locate the XX property and add it to your main “About” section so it always appears without needing to expand hidden fields.

  4. Save your changes. The property should now appear in the main view on desktop.

4. Confirm No Duplicate Records

If you see the correct value in mobile but not on desktop, and you’re sure the property is visible on the desktop layout, check for duplicate contacts:

  • In your contacts list, search for the email address associated with that contact to ensure only one record exists.

  • If multiple records appear, you may have “XX” set on a different duplicate record. Consider merging them if needed.

5. Refresh Your Cache or Try a Different Browser

On rare occasions, browser caching or mobile app data can temporarily show outdated information. If everything above is correct, try:

  • Logging out and back into the HubSpot mobile app.

  • Clearing your desktop browser cache or using a private/incognito window to see if the property is displayed.
